A Noble Day for a Noble Companion

Our Beloved Tillman

It is with truly broken hearts that we have to share with you that our Outdoor Lighting & Mosquito Squad mascot, Tillman the Golden Retriever passed away on September 11, 2015. Tillman had just turned nine years old. His passing was completely unexpected, but he was surrounded by his loving family and did not suffer as he crossed the rainbow bridge to puppy heaven.

Our Tillman was part of the family, like a child to us, and will truly be missed.

Tillman was named after American hero Pat Tillman. Pat Tillman was a football player who starred on the Arizona Cardinals professional football team. He chose to put his all-star football career on hold to re-enlist in the United States Army in 2002, in the wake of the terrorist attacks that took place on September 11, 2001. Eventually Pat Tillman lost is life while fighting for his country in Afghanistan, on April 2004.

Our Tillman passed away on September 11, 2015 – a day that was fitting for our noble companion. A day that was absolutely not a coincidence, but a day that was meant to be. Please contribute what you can to the Pat Tillman Foundation in honor of our Tillman’s passing. The Pat Tillman Foundation awards scholarships for military veterans and their spouses.

Somewhere inside, we hear a voice. It leads us in the direction of who we wish to become. But it is up to us whether or not to follow.” – Pat Tillman
